Visas

Citizens of EU Countries, Croatia and Israel do NOT require a visa for entry in Slovenia. Citizens of other countries should obtain a visa from Slovene Embassies which are listed on the web site of Slovene Ministry of Foreign Affairs:

The visa issued for Slovenia is valid only for the territory of the Republic of Slovenia. Issuing visas at the borders will not be possible.

Procedure to follow:

Your competent authority should send a list of participants, containing the following data:

•  the delegate's full name and title,

•  date and place of birth,

•  citizenship

•  passport number,

•  passport type (i.e. diplomatic, service, ordinary, special),

•  validity of the passport (issued, expiry date) and

•  address (where to send the invitation letter by DHL)

Each delegate will be provided with the personal invitation which is necessary to obtain the Slovene visa at the Slovene embassies.

The following documents should be presented in order to acquire a visa:

•  a valid travel document in which the visa can be attached (the validity of the travel document should exceed the validity of a visa by at least three months)

•  an application form (fully completed!), t he visa application form is available in several languages (in English, French and German) on the following web site: http://www.gov.si/mzz/eng/index.html (click: useful information/visa information/visa application forms ).

•  one photo

•  an invitation letter issued by the organizers of the conference

•  travel insurance

Visas and entry permits, where required, shall be granted as speedily as possible, provided the application for the visa is made at least three weeks before the opening of the Meeting.

The fee for the issue of a visa amounts to EUR 35. For holders of diplomatic and service passports visas will be issued free of charge.
